Meet Eric & Lisa Knutson
Hi, we’re Eric and Lisa Knutson, the owners of Knutson Property Services (KPS).
KPS started back in 1994, when Eric began a small “part-time” lawn mowing business to earn extra income. What started as a side hustle slowly grew into something much bigger — a full-time career and a family-owned company built on hard work, strong values, and a passion for taking care of people and properties.
In 1999, we were asked to manage our very first vacation rental. At the time, we’ll be honest… we had a lot to learn. But we learned quickly, and we learned what truly matters. After experiencing a disappointing vacation rental stay ourselves, we knew we wanted to do things differently — and do them better.
Our goal has always been simple:
- Be true and honest with our guests
- Treat people the way we would want to be treated
- Provide 5-star clean accommodations and service every time
Lisa worked many years for the Lacrosse County and in 2003 she joined the business full-time as KPS continued to grow. As our rentals and service work expanded, it became too much to juggle both careers — and Lisa became the backbone of KPS, handling the end-of-month accounting, organization, and behind-the-scenes management that keeps everything running smoothly.
Over the years, we’ve grown into much more than just vacation rentals. KPS also provides a wide range of services including mowing, landscaping, log home care, and staining and more — all with the same attention to detail and pride in doing things right.
Owning and operating a family business has meant long days, late-night calls, and many times where we’ve set our personal life aside to take care of guests and properties. But we wouldn’t change it. We’re proud of what we’ve built, and we’re thankful for the relationships and repeat guests we’ve gained along the way.

Dylan – Grounds & Property Services Manager
Dylan has been part of KPS from the very beginning — he’s Eric and Lisa’s son and started working full-time after high school over 14 years ago. He’s always willing to jump in and help wherever needed, and he plays a big role in keeping our properties in great shape. Dylan enjoys farm life, working with the cattle, and spending quality time with his family. He also loves getting together with friends and socializing. This year, Dylan will be leading our mowing and landscape services, helping ensure every property looks its best for our owners and guests.
Christy – Guest Services & Office Coordinator
Christy has been a valued part of the KPS team for 16 years and plays a very important role in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. From assisting with daily office tasks to helping support our guests and property owners, Christy is organized, dependable, and always willing to jump in wherever she’s needed. Her experience, attention to detail, and dedication to KPS make her an essential part of our team, and we’re grateful to have her!
Theresa (“T”) – Cleaning & Quality Control Lead
Theresa, better known as “T,” has been with Knutson Property Services for nearly three years and is an extremely important part of our team. T plays a key role in making sure every cabin is guest-ready, spotless, and held to our 5-star standards. She’s known for her dedication, thoroughness, and incredible attention to detail — the kind of care that truly makes a difference in every stay. Outside of work, T loves being outdoors and spending quality time with her daughter. We’re lucky to have her on our team!
Brenda – Cabin Care Specialist
Brenda is one of our hardworking cleaners and does an excellent job helping keep our cabins spotless and guest-ready. She’s dependable, thorough, and takes pride in her work — which is a big part of maintaining our 5-star standards. When she’s not working, Brenda enjoys fishing and spending time with her family. We’re very grateful to have her on the KPS team!
Brendon – Property Services & Maintenance Technician
Brendon has been part of the KPS story his entire life, and he has been working with our team for the past three years. He plays a big role in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, helping with mechanical work, snow plowing and removal, landscaping, and mowing. Brendon is dependable, hardworking, and always willing to jump in wherever he’s needed. When he’s not working, he enjoys farming, riding horses, and spending time with his wife. We’re thankful to have Brendon on the KPS team!
Jessi – Cabin Care Specialist (Part-Time)
Jessi is a part-time cleaner who helps keep our cabins clean and guest-ready. We truly enjoy having Jessi as part of our team — she always brings a big smile, a great attitude, and a personality that makes everyone’s day better. When she’s not working, Jessi enjoys spending time with her children, her dog, and making memories with friends and family.
